Buff Jessica

Well, we have been working out at the gym lately....but Jessica has been training pretty hard! This car was sticking out too much, so we had her move it......with her pinky! lol....Eder is simply amazed...

Thursday Night Meals...

Here in Okinawa, Sosimo and I get to cook meals on Thursday for the Ruiz family and all the Bible college students...this past week we made a really great meal, one of my favorites....check out the pictures.....

Sosimo gettin creative with makin the cabbage for salad....he always does a great job!

This week I made pasta with only Olive Oil as the sauce...mmm....we usually have tomato sauce....but this meal only had olive oil to coat the noodles, with basil, garlic, and garlic roasted tomatoes. Just like Momma Coza's back home in Anaheim...

You can't have a Momma Coza's meal without a side of anchovies...mmm...just a little though because it is really salty.
We this is the finished product...Keli'i helped us out again, and we used Romaine lettuce to make "PF Chang" style lettuce wraps, with a spicy/sweet Thai sauce and chicken on the inside...pretty shnazy huh?Great meal! Thanks Joanna for the special stuff to make this dinner!

Ohayou Okinawa....Good Morning Okinawa....

Well this is the famous quote of Tamiko, who is now in Germany....when we were back at our old church, we would look out over the city towards Tropical Beach area, open up the windows, and most mornings Tamiko would say "Ohayou Okinawa"....sounds just like Ohio, the state....

Well I have tried to continue that tradition, and how beautiful Okinawa is in the morning! Awesome huh? No body probably can hear me, but the Lord can! Psalm 5:3 Please help me pray for these Okinawan people that have no knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

Halloween @ CC Okinawa

Well this year I dressed up for Halloween as you can see! And I only spent a grand total of 100¥ or $1 to make it...i had my own hair clippers so I rocked that myself, and then I went and bought some black tape at the 100¥ store (better but just like .99 store). Thats it....

Well we went to Calvary Okinawa, and got to rock out at their new building. These two guys in the picture are (Left to right) Thor, Charlie Brown, and Jon...they go to my youth group on base, they got to meet me there which was sweet.

The night was great! Hakugaijin.....the band I sing in, got to jam about 6 songs and then there were worship teams mixups the rest of the night while they had an indoor carnival. It started at 6pm, but they sold out of food by 8 and ran out of candy by 8:30pm....lol God did a great work...and their were alot of Japanese neighbors that came around and checked it out!

"Stir It Up" B³ Youth Winter Camp

Well it is starting to come together...here is the flyer for our Winter Camp in Okuma this December...7th-12th graders are invited, and we are so excited to have all you come and enjoy time with the Lord and other Christians. Please pray for this event....its my first time heading one up, and it is already tough with my school schedule to get stuff done, so yeh, please pray! But more importantly pray for the youth and leaders attending, that God would "Stir it Up" in their hearts to love Him and serve Him with all their heart!

Heading back to Oki...

Well, the night that I took off from California to head back to Okinawa, we went over to hang out with the "newlyweds" at their house and played some Wii that Gabe's brother Marky got for them. good times...

Well....as you can see we had to make our own characters.....but my dad.....wow.....it looks exactly like him.....we were laughing so hard, it was ridiculous!

Well this is us at the airport in LAX....the last few minutes are always the worst....there are always tears with my family....love you guys lots!

I love flying on planes....and i always love trying to get the window seat.....the clouds on this trip were sooooooo nice.....they looked like a blanket of cotton....looked like you could just jump out and land on it....amazazing.....

So I am back now.....in beautiful, tropical, warm Okinawa....glad to be back.....ready to do what God has called me to for this season! Pray for me please!

Dinner fit for a king....

Well...i normally am in charge of making dinner on Thursday night...but this night was special....we were having Brian Yates come over for dinner....but we pulled out all the stops and made so many great and tasty things...

I was able to put some ground beef in my already great sauce for spaghetti....mmm....

then we made some japanese style fried zucchini...pretty awesome

And we got blessed at the store with some really cheap fruit....so we made a fresh fruit salad...which Hannah is holding here....with apples, asian pears *the ripest I have ever tasted*, bananas, kiwis, pineapples, and Craisins....and in that order....mmmmm...

Then...sort of like normal....we had some cabbage....but we have been making it really good lately....shredded instead of cut....and it makes it easier to put in your mouth....we put all these great veggies and stuff too....so good....

There was much more....like the Piccasia bread and garlic bread....mmm...we had some satisfied customers this night....yumm yummm....

afterwards we watched the videos my parents had sent me from TV back home....first the "I survived a Japanese game show", which was pretty fun....but then she sent two episode of "Wipeout", and oh my it was hilarious....we were literally on the floor laughing....i had a raspy throat from laughing so hard...Wipeout is about people who try to get across a hard obstacle coarse, for a chance to win $50,000, but it is fun to watch them eat it, get all dizzy and stuff....wow....American's got TV down....making people want to hurt themselves and humiliate themselves in front of millions of people, just for money....yep...

Military here I come....

Well I'm just scaring you again....im not really entering the military, but I did get a real military haircut today....well here is the story....

I always love cutting my own hair, but this time I didnt cut it really that great, so I decided for our very own Christina Duran to cut the back of my hair and freshen it up....she took about a quarter of a semester of hair school (hint hint....jk). Well fast forward....she was cutting the back and messed it up, cut a part of the edge in towards the middle of my head, about an inch in....ahhh....had to get it fixed and she was too freaked out to try again...

I went on base and got royal treatment....I haven't had a good haircut in a long time....I literally almost fell asleep in the chair, it was pretty relaxing....and then when she finished, the lady gave me a mini massage, chopped on my back and my shoulders, ahh....all for 5 bucks....wonderful....here is the final product....sooooo typical Marine style haircut too...but its ok....peace!

Meet Nick

Nick has been here for a week or so now....but this guy has been a big blessing so far. He has come from Temecula, and it was just really random how he found us...he just was looking online for Bible Colleges, found Tommy's blog, started talking to him, and decided to come down for 2 weeks....sweet juice huh?

We went out to lunch and I showed him the ropes for Chinese style lunch in OKInawa...he enjoyed some chicken karage (just big fried chicken goodness) and I got a good ol' shoyu ramen (Soy sauce ramen noodles).....good times...
