Public Bath...

My new friend Dominick took me out to a famous spa in the city of Yoseung...it is right near my home....it is one of the places he goes very often to relax and hit up a public bathhouse....most people dont really like them, getting nakie in front of a bunch of people and stuff....(everything in me from American culture tells me to not do it....it gross....blah blah blah) but then again Im not living in America, and i want to live like they do....its not weird to them....most guys go, and they bring their wife and she goes with her friends in the girl side....just a time to relax...thats what I like....sit, pray, get perspective, chill out, talk to a good friend, smell good....lol

Well I only have pictures of the outside, duh....lol It was really great....i really liked it...it is only 7,000 won....about $4.50....but that is normal price for one.....Dom had a coupon for half on two....sweet....he treated me, but it was really only about a $2.30....for an all day relaxation spa....so sweet man...Well afterwards...we had the munchies....your body is all dehydrated and stuff....so we got a drink, a bunch of these funky lil eggs (they are cooked different....kind of taste like rubber....but somehow they were better this time than before....are my tastebuds changing?).....if you think I got ice cream you should be ashamed of yourself....man....im not Sosi....lol (i have to admit it was tempting though)

Note to self though.....dont go to a bath house in the morning or afternoon....i was so tired, I crashed out for 2.5 hours before the Jinsoo bible study at 5pm....man i was toast....when I woke up, I had two more eggs, a lil can of soda, and i was good! awesome day! thanks again Dominick!

1 Month Anniversary....and another departure....

Praise the Lord! Its been one whole month since the day we came here....man it is flying! SOOOO Fast....

Well we had a guys night out to celebrate, but also to say bye to Eugene...he is heading off to Busan (South Eastern city on the coast) for school...we'll really miss this guy....he always would hang out and show us around, translating and messing around with us...

Petah joined us too! all da boyz.....Eugene, Sosimo, Peter, me!

Well after we chubbed out at a new buffet place we found.....we decided to watch a movie...they have these places in Korea called DVD rooms....and it looks like a chill blockbuster....like movies and stuff around the first room, you pick one out, go to the register, but instead of taking it home....you rent a room (really only pay for the room)...and watch it there....man it was sweet...

The room was actually pretty big (the biggest in the place....there were probably about 10 rooms), with room for about 6-7 people....and the sound and video screen were awesome...about 16 bucks total....we just split the cost....
Afterwards we said our goodbyes to Eugene....prayed for him and sent him out....Sosi might see him again, as he will be going to Fukuoka in mainland Japan to renew his VISA...he is going to take a train to Busan (where Eugene is), probably hang out for a bit with him, and then go to Fukuoka for a day, come back and be settled.....

Me on the otherhand....its decided I'm going back to Okinawa....for about 9 days i think...Hakugaijin is releases the CD we recorded in May, and they wanted me to come and help....mostly with like 5 or 6 concerts that we are going to have....pretty sweet....

It will be good to say Hi to everyone again....just pray for God's provision as always, that God would also bless the Worship Conference they are going to have there.....oh and all the people left here to take care of all the things I help with....alright....long one but important blog....peace!

Lunch with some friends....

Well Do-Hyung (homie on the right) wanted to take us out to lunch, and show us one of his favorite Chinese restaurants....we had some great noodles in like a dark stew...pretty good..

Do Hyung....or Dominick...is a pretty cool guy. He is Mike's besto friendo, and he got back from a trip to China (for one year), and wants to become a Chinese language teacher....pretty interesting...

....

there we go....we call him "Batman" because he usually is "too tough" to smile or anything....lol

mmm.....noodles....i look like a lumberjack....yes I know....(Thanks Liz Barrios....everytime I wear this shirt now I think of that....lol)

Meet Joseph...

Sorry....couldnt find this guy to take a picture with him....but this is Joseph...he has been coming to the Jinsoo Bible Studies and to the church every service, but about a week ago after M.E.L.T., he accepted the Lord!

What happened is that he wanted to talk to me after MELT, as we were walking to McDonalds for an ice cream (of course huh?)...well he asked me how i played guitar so well...I told him that it was a gift from God. He asked how I got the gift, and I told him I asked for it, and when God gives gifts, they are good gifts, just like salvation. He wanted to know more, and he wanted to hear "my story" or testimony...so we talked for about 30 minutes....and I shared with him the Gospel, and at the end, I opened it up for him to ask God into his life....(this is the funny part)He said that he thought it was a bad place to talk to God...we were sitting, talking, eating at McDonalds around a bunch of people at lunch hour....lol

I told him that God is everywhere, and He can hear and answer prayers anywhere...He was kind of shocked...lol But I asked him more questions, and eventually asked him again, and he said "I'm not worried about the people around me, I want to pray to God"....sweet huh? God is faithful! He uses foolish people like me to share about Him, and He used McDonalds to be the place where Joseph accepted Him, not some super huge church with the lights dimmed and the candles lit, no pastor or confession box....just a line of people ready for a Big Mac and a couple friends chowing on some fries and ice cream....lol

Well pray for this dude....he is the same age as me, kinda cool...I will soon be teaching a Bible study on Saturday, focusing on foundations and new believers...pray that God would disciple this guy, and the rest that God will bless and add to His church! Praise the Lord!

Last Night with Elizabeth

Well alot of the students here in Korea are starting their spring semester in College, so a lot of them are shipping out, going to different cities....Busan, Seoul, etc...one of our friends from Jinsoo, Elizabeth, was heading out to school, and she wanted Sosi and I to come over for dinner....its her mom's restaurant....called Acorn House

This food was pretty awesome....she pulled out all the stops too...this is a chicken dinner that is boiled in a soup....mmm...when we got there....it was already waiting for us...

Here is Elizabeth serving us some acorn dish....didnt catch the name....but it reminded me of japanese okonomiyaki.....like a thin pancake (but made of smashed acorns) with vegetables and stuff inside....

The biggest flavor and part of the chicken soup broth were these.....thorn branches.....its supposed to be an herb that is very good for your health....

This was the meal we had.....on the left side.....2nd down....umnamu bagsug....mmm....she blessed us big time....Mike was telling us it is a special dinner....it was probably around 25 for us all....thanks so much Elizabeth! We will miss hanging out with you!

Popeyes....mmm....

Talk about double chubs.....man this was a chubs lunch....
lol Looks like I caught them doing something really bad.....lol

Just a little taste of home....it was great....I do love the food here, so much....but sometimes its good to get that piece of America...thanks Mike! oh....the only bad thing about popeyes in Korea (mom....you'll know...lol) is that they didnt have red beans and rice, or honey for the biscuits....otherwise same amazing tasting chicken....spicy is the best!

201st Blog!

Wow...200 blogs.....this is about 200 blogs in about 2 years...pretty good. Hopefully I'll get better at seeing things that God wants me to show all you guys out there, wherever you are...In one of my last posts, I wrote that our "God is a God of detail". I have been thinking about that lately...Our God cares so much about every single detail of our lives, about the things that surround, He truly is amazing. I desire to not be so ignorant of those things. I felt kind of convicted, sometimes I want to ignore people, because I might feel they are boring, they make me feel uncomfortable, or I dont know what to say to them (sorry......just telling the truth....). But God created them that way, He loves every minuscule piece of us....He designed it, He cares for every molecule, every cell, every feeling.....man God blows my mind.

Anyways....if any of you are feeling down and out.....know that the God of the universe holds you (and literally holds your pieces together....lol), and loves you so deeply, that He sent His own Son, Jesus Christ the GODMAN....to show you how much He cares.

Thanks for those who pay attention to this blog....200 strong now.....please stay tuned.....keep up those comments, I am so blessed for each one! Praying for all ya'll!

This is the little park next to our apartment....pretty sweet huh?

Yes we had to ruin this slides snow....
Sosimo....notice the snow on the lense....^^ me and the lone light....

Good times in Daejeon!

Grace's Bday

Hey hey....well Grace....the girl that plays piano for me on Sunday nights at CC Daejeon had her 25th Birthday....well 26th birthday in Korea....they count different....mostly because they follow the Chinese New year calendar....

We all went to Coffee Bean and got her a cake and a drink to celebrate...it was funny....she didnt expect the loud Americans to embarrass her by singing loud enough for the whole place to hear....haha....hope you had a blessed day! May God's grace be on you Grace!
