We had a long day of walking :/ here are some of the pics I got and things we did ;)
Got to use the subway system to go to the pier where the Star Ferry crosses the harbor. We were headed to Hong Kong island...
Waiting for the subway train...oh yeh...just cost like 50 cents to take the subway. Nice huh?!
Walked past a luxury area of shops and hotels...this area was just a mound of dirt 5 years ago, but is now a hotel and boardwalk of nice shops...the interesting thing about it are these trees (4 other surrounding ones) that were saved and built around. They are so old that to build the hotel, the government made them save the trees ;) pretty cool
Made it to the pier and seeing across the harbor ;)
Taking the ferry across ;) cool
We had a huge walk to get to this place....we took the longest stretch of escalators up the mountain and walked to this botanical gardens and small zoo (free too!) to see this beautiful sight! I love the skyline behind the fountain.
A little more walking and we made it to the tram that goes to the top of the hillside and overlooks the harbor and mainland.
On our way up, it gets pretty steep! Michael here is trying to stand up without holding the bar, and has to do so like this ;) crazy!
Here is at the top of the hill ;) so nice ;) a little hazy today but still great
They have a nice little mall at the top there...a nice place to relax and enjoy the view
Here is the tram entrance at the top ;) cool design
Here we are onboard the Star Ferry again going back to the boardwalk to see the light show ;)
It was fun to be on the edge of the water and see all these famous buildings light up in sync...a little slow in the beginning but finished well ;)
Walked down the boardwalk and saw the famous Bruce lee statue ;) so sweet
Great day of the Word, fellowship and touring the city ;) too much walking though...felt it when I laid down :/ ugh
