Harvest Crusade Night Three

Well we for sure got hooked up this night...We knew someone who got the special seats right behind homeplate....so we got five...Mom, Dad, Me, Jamie and Gabe...got the 7th row....right in front of the stage....whooooo!
Me and my momma^^

niiiiicccce.....

Poppa Chuck Smith...I like that he comes every year to say a little something, always on Sunday...

Soooooo many people.....standing room only.....50,000 people.....5,000 turned away at the gate, they couldnt get in...wow....

Well my last night, I once again went down and met another group of dudes....all first time guys dedicating their lives to Jesus. God is so good....working in college age guys, and even little ones too...im praying for you guys! See you in the kingdom...^^

Its always great to see a brother as you walk around....this is Pastor Daniel...I first met him at the School of Ministry when I helped lead worship there one time. He asked me to come and help him at his home bible study...that was 2 1/2 years ago...I used to lead worship for a month or so...then I went to Okinawa and hadnt heard from him since. Well his church is still growing, they got a new church, and God is still using this servant for His glory! Bless you brother Daniel!
Chris Tomlin rocked out while the fireworks went off....man it was really powerful worship (and yes before the fireworks too!).

What a great night...God is soo good...

Now not that it is about numbers...but God has been faithful...this was Harvest's 20th year doing a crusade, and over 4,000,000 people have come....soo sweet...God's Word never returns void! The stadium has never been packed out to max capacity two days in a row either...just pray that all the commitments made are lasting and true, and that they rely upon Jesus as their everything....because He truly IS! Be in prayer Christians...

Harvest Crusade Night Two

Interviewing with the lead member in Relient K...they tore it up...sooo funny...he played on the piano the theme song to "The Office" ahhhaha

Man we got some sweeto spots on the 1st row of the third base line...da homies....Jake, Sosi, Me, and Royce

Wow....SKILLET...they rocked it man...it was soo funny though. The lead singer on the last song, jumped off stage, but totally ate it (bwahaha), gets up and starts running around 3rd base to home plate, then to first, then up 1st base line....then back to the stage....oh mannnnn sooooo funny...props though for dusting it off and just rocking it for the Lord!
He was talking about how he wanted to punch someone in the....nahhh jk lol

Again I went down...got 5 guys this night...really cool. All first time decisions...really pray for all these young men to be founded upon the Word and grow in Jesus!

Wow...I saw my friend Diane Jonkers...we used to work together at Vons, and we would always talk because we were Christians...she is still serving Jesus with all her heart! Praise God!

The Katinas rocking out again...

Gardening...

Well the since I got home, my parents both had to go back to work...so I have been taking care of the gardening in the back yard. We have lots of things growing. But as I have been doing them, it has been reminding me of a lesson that I learned from Pastor Tommy in Okinawa.

My mom has been watering these plants for months, faithfully too, but those tomatoes are still on there as green as can be...she was sad a little bit, knowing that she couldn't take care of them anymore, watching them grow. Sometimes people, in ministry, are only called to plant the seeds in people, some to water and help bring nourishment to a new believer, but maybe not take part in the harvest of fruit, ripe and ready to be a blessing as they serve others.

I am blessed, despite the fact that I don't see all the fruit from the missions fields I have been too, but know that others are enjoying the fruit of their labor, and that I am a partaker also of that work. Church, don't get discouraged if you dont see the fruit of your ministry right now. It's OK. God's Word will not return void, He will do that work. ^^

Hanging tomato plant...
These flowers are really beautiful...like 허니
Jasmin plant

my favorites....fig tree (left), big tomatoes (middle), and jalapenos (right)...especially the figs....mmm....so tasty...but they dont produce very big ones...i wish they did...

Raking in the harvest...praise God...

ARMOR UP!

The kids ministry at our church had a retreat/conference last weekend called Armor Up...Pastor Pule (here praying) asked me and Sosimo to come and lead in worship one night.
Me, Sonny, and Sosi
It was actually really cool...they got some police officers to come and teach the kids about the armor that they wear, and compared it to the Armor of God that we read about in Ephesians. really cool...they let the kids try on the armor, they got to pet a police dog(and see a demonstration), and get into their squad car (talk on the intercom, get in the back seat, set off the sirens....soo sweet)
Cant let the kids have all the fun.....^^
There was a great amount of kids that came...the greatest thing...even though they are so young...God's Word will not come back void! Amen so cool...
The Dominguez family did a skit, and after they were teasing the children by pulling this joke on them...really funny...enjoy the video....

LA Outreach

Last week we went out to LA to a guy named Raul Diaz's church...to lead worship, talk about being a missionary, and also teach the Word. It is meant for high school and college, but they also record and put it on the internet for people in Latin America to see and be blessed. (When they put the video on YouTube...ill let you know! ^ __ ^

I led worship...with Royce singing and Zach playing the box...missed these guys...good times..
Raul then talked to me about being in Korea...I got to share just a little bit...but I also made a short clip of pictures and things to show people things I did, people I met, just really simple ministry. Hope you like it....I made it really fast...but hope you are blessed by it.

After, Zach taught the Word with power....good job brada!

before launching the skis...

The lake was really nice...some people were doing some fishing, mostly for bass...

Anaheim...

So after we made a visit to see Mike in the hospital, we went around town to get to our favorite Chinese restaurant in Anaheim. But along the way, we drove past Disneyland. I was kind of happy, because I was feeling kind of down (because of the hospital), thinking about all of the good memories I have from being there as a kid.

lol....bad picture....no flash and we were driving past it kind of fast...I want to go soon, but maybe I can go in December...^^ 쪽

Well we made it to the restaurant...Wok Inn...mmm.....i could smell the great food outside the place...

We were kind of sad, because there was this one dude that had worked there for like 30 something years, Charlie, and he had retired.....ㅠㅠ...but the food was still awesome....garlic green beans, eggplant, sesame chicken, kung pao pork....ahhh~~~~lol
is it bad that food cheers me up? lol i think I have a problem on my hands....^^

Grandpa Mike...

Well I need a little help with prayer...maybe you would have heard a little bit ago that my Dad's stepfather got diagnosed with cancer in his chest. So he has been taking chemotherapy to kill off the disease. But just the other day he was dizzy, pale, and sick, so they took him to the hospital and found out that he had pneumonia in his left lung. They put him in ICU at Anaheim Regional, ran tests, and also found out that he had a severe heart attack. Please pray for him. We have been visiting him everyday. It seems that he will be well enough to go to hospice home soon, but I will keep you updated.

Thanks for your prayer...I know that my family would be blessed. Blessings...

300th Blog....

Exciting...big 300....I was looking over the other blogs I have been doing...Praise God for all the amazing things He has done, all the places He has brought me, and all the food He has given me....lol I know I write about food all the time so....^^ Keep tuning in guys...I know the Lord has even greater things in store! Blessings!

Wednesday Night Worship @ CCLW

This is me playing on Wed Night at my church...playing "Your Name is Beautiful" by Joseph Tata....I love this song. I played it a few times in Okinawa and Korea, but it is fun to play with others that can help sing harmonies to....good times...

After that....Lina, Royce, and I played "Sufficient For Me"....love this song...really great lyrics. Praise the Lord....a great worship time with my Lord Jesus...^^

Sunday DVD Series...

At the church on Sunday Nights we are watching the Pastor's Conference DVD's from just a few months ago. This past week we got encouraged by two great teachers...First David Rosales...
And then Joe Focht taught through a chapter in 2 Timothy also.
It was great studying along with these great teachers and preachers of the Word, just gleaning from these great men of God. Praise God for the amazing amount of good teachers here in the US, prayfully there will be a great growth of servants that would desire to preach around the world, filling the need of the church across the world.

Korean Youth Group

This past week I got asked to teach the Korean Youth Group at our church. (There was a Korean church that needed to rent our building on Sundays after our services, and they asked us to teach their Youth)

So I got to lead worship and then teach in Romans 14 to the group...they were really fun....most of them were born in America, but a few were from Korea...it was good to get to know them after. We played some games and laughed....good times....hope to hang out with them again...^^

Church project...

At the church....we have been doing a little work there to get the grass to look nice. We have been replacing the old PVC pipes underground, digging new wholes and putting brand new everything in. Not the easiest project...but God is good, and a lot of chances for people to serve the Lord.
Larry and Pastor Jerry working hard in front of the church...^^

My Dad and Robert helping out too...lots of diggin and lots of labor...Praise the Lord for good servants!

Sorry Pastor Mike....^^

hehe.....sorry Pastor Mike....I know that Jack in the Box is your favorite...had to take a picture though....lol Blessings brother!

Vacation to Cardinal Village...

Well my parents got one week off of work, so that we could go on a vacation up to the mountains. My dad drove most of the way....about 5 hours to Cardinal Village...really far but very much worth it.

Me and momma....

These are the Eastern Sierra's....the biggest mountain in California is in these set of mountain ranges....Mount Whittney...and we are headed to Bishop, where there is a little town that has cabins to stay at for fishermen and hikers...really nice mountain view huh?!

The front of Cardinal Village where we stayed...
ahhhh.......dont I look relaxed....It is good to get away "from it all"....take it easy and rest....Thank you God for this time...
This is the little pond in the Cardinal Village camp....no fish but really nice looking....lol
I like this picture...simple....just relaxing...worshiping the Lord's creation...

Lake Sabrina...really nice....the water level is so high right now, because of all the snow that melted and all the rain that it has been getting lately. Really nice...

When we went to this lake, Lake Sabrina, we caught our limit of fish in just about 2 hours....so awesome, we took a boat out and went to our "famous secret spot", and we each caught 5 fish and went back to our cabin. So much fun...I wish fishing was this much fun all the time...^^

There are just beautiful little creeks that come from the lakes and run down the hill everywhere....love them they look so cool...and they are going really fast right now because the lakes have so much water right now...

These were the 3 biggest fish that we caught at Lake Sabrina, and we ate them that night....mmm.....my mom is such a great cook...
I feel like a real fisherman with these waders on! lol love the beautiful scenery behind me...funny...we found these waders in our garage before we left, so I wanted to test them out...^^
I was standing right here in the brown part of the lake....it was cold even though I had the rubber waders on....the right shoe was leaking a little bit....and thats why my feet were so cold...^^ fun though...
When we were fishing at North Lake, we were having fun playing with the squirrels....they were hungry and we were giving them crackers and nuts....funny video....^^

A picture in front of South Lake....I think i like the mountains the best here...

We all had such a great time....thank you Jesus for the abundance of fish you gave us! We ended up catching 19 fish in 2 days of fishing....really fun time!
