Feltre Agape Feast BBQ

We went up to Feltre on Saturday for a Agape Feast at a sister's home named Daniela...I had a choice of going to Venice with some students, or going here....and I think I would prefer to go eat real Italian food than somewhere I could go many times...

The sign says "City of Feltre: Welcome!" hehe...if it isnt obvious...lol
soo beautiful....this is the beginning of the Italian side of the Alps, not so well known for its snow, but for its jagged rock shapes...really beautiful...to get to Daniela's house we had to go through really rural areas of Feltre...it was so amazing to see...
This is my new friend Gazzi from Albania, he has an Italian wife and goes to church with us...^^

doesnt this just look like a typical Italian scene, flowers and clothes hanging out of the side of villa...^^
In the backyard they had a plum tree...David snagged one...lol

mmmm...

we were just eating them off the tree....mmm

Daniela had a nice sized garden also....eggplants (like these), roma tomatoes, squash, and many other things....really cool....

everyone started to get excited about picking the plums...mmm...
They would burn some wood to get coals, and then put it under the food in different grills...sweet...we cooked up a lot of meat....pork chops, sausage, pork ribs, chicken...good stuff it just kept coming...^^

wow...this was amazing....zucchini covered and then swimming in olive oil (trust me, they NEVER hold back on the extra virgin olive oil....ever....lol) with slices of garlic and spices...drool city...lol

The body of Christ in Italy...so awesome...we started eating at about 7pm and just were out there until about 10pm....talking, laughing (really hard), enjoying each other and the beautiful night...we were just sitting out in the dark too....really sweet time together.

Everyone just lounging around...

David was chasing this cutie around the yard...it was soo cute...she was cooing and trying to find mommy or daddy...so funny....lil Julia...^^

Good times...I'm really glad I chose to go here instead of Venice, i know there will always be times to travel, but there is nothing that replace fellowship with the Body of Christ...always amazing!
