Oldest church in Austria...Calvary Hill Chapel

So we packed up into the car, but before we left Millstatt...we decided to take a little detour to the oldest church in Austria...it was just about 5 minutes drive from the town...

the front entrance...

a big cemetary in front of the church...interesting sometimes to look at hedge stones and see what people write, or how long they lived...but it was a little difficult this time since it was in German...^^

the backside of the church...

Calvary Hill Chapel...since 1700....nice...

they had a really cool painting that went all the way around the walls...its of the whole city scenery...pretty cool looking...

there was this little sign we were checking out...

The story is that this guy took all the idols that were being worshiped in the city of Millstatt and he cast them into the lake...but after he died...because of the great change that was brought because of him....they made a statue for him...ironic huh? ^^

A little view of the church....
